windows gadget alarm
is it bad to leave my laptop on all night to use as an alarm clock or a music player?

well recently my CPU out of laptops overheating and returned to service center. This is off topic but when he returned (last night) I had and the Mother ++**$% Screen is grainy *&^%#$! im so pizzed off anyway but I was wondering if I leveä my laptop on all night for a Wake up it would hurt in that way either? if I put it in standby mode is a Windows Sidebar gadget still works (if you say it only works in the sleep and it doesn't, you will be responsible for me being late for class!) what is the energy lower than I could put in the work still left side bar function? Please respond. 10 points Smarty Pants! I dont care about electricity (its free) I also disconnected the battery. All my alarm "Clocks" and sucking hard to Arent I did file ultamate alarm sound on my laptop and Yeh. oh well. i guess im just gonna have to figure something out

Yes, it is open all night every night, components wear out. Not to mention dude waste of electricity.
